Mixed load Hazchem

Build the load, and this works out the single Hazchem (Emergency Action Code) that covers every product in it — the most restrictive firefighting medium, the highest level of protection, containment over dilution, and E if any product requires it. This is a reference aid, not a compliance decision — the consignor and prime contractor remain responsible. Verify against the printed Code and the relevant Emergency Procedure Guides.

Codes printed with a leading bullet (•3YE) mean alcohol-resistant foam must be used where foam is applied. The bullet is hard to type, so start the code with a hyphen, asterisk or full stop instead — -3YE, *3YE and .3YE are all read as •3YE.

Combined load code

Add products with a Hazchem code and the combined code will appear here.

Mixed loads also need the mixed class placarding rules of Chapter 5.3 and the segregation rules of Table 9.1 to be checked separately.
